AEK BC begins basketball preseason with victory over Megarida

AEK BC has commenced its basketball preseason preparations under coach Dragan Sakota. The team secured a victory in its first friendly match, defeating Neaniki Estia Megaridas with a score of 101-75 at the SUNEL Arena.

The match featured debuts from five players: Derik Williams, Giorgos Tsalbouris, Nelly Joseph, Vassilis Hartonas, and Stavros Gymnopoulos. Despite the win, the team played without several key players, including Greg Brown, Kison Fizzel, Landers Nolley, and Dimitris Flionis.

Following this initial test, AEK's schedule includes home games against Marousi and a trip to Turkey for high-level competition. The preseason program also features participation in tournaments in Rhodes and Peristeri, highlighted by a significant matchup against Panathinaikos on September 11. The preparation cycle will conclude with matches against Spartak Subotica, Cluj, and Karditsa.
