AEK BC extends Lukas Lekavicius contract until 2028

AEK BC has officially announced a contract extension for Lithuanian point guard Lukas Lekavicius. The 32-year-old veteran has signed a new two-year deal, securing his position with the club until the summer of 2028.

Lekavicius, who has previously played for clubs such as Zalgiris and Panathinaikos, has become a key component of coach Dragan Sakota’s roster. During the previous season, he recorded notable statistics in the FIBA Champions League and the Greek league, maintaining high shooting percentages from both two-point and three-point range.

In addition to the contract renewal, reports indicate that Lekavicius is in the final stages of obtaining a Greek passport. If successful, this would allow him to compete under Greek citizenship status, providing further roster flexibility for AEK in domestic competitions.
