AEK BC signs Giorgos Chalbouris until 2027

AEK BC has officially announced the return of Giorgos Chalbouris, who has signed a contract through the end of the 2026-2027 season. The 30-year-old, 2.17m forward/center returns to the club after seven years.

Chalbouris previously played for AEK from 2015 to 2019, during which time he won the 2017 ESKA Youth Championship and the 2019 Intercontinental Cup. Most recently, he played for Panionios in the Greek league, averaging 9.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, while also performing well in the EuroCup with averages of 11.1 points and 3.4 rebounds.

His signing strengthens AEK's frontcourt and fulfills domestic player requirements for the Stoiximan GBL. Before this agreement, Chalbouris had begun preseason preparations with Armani Milano.
