AEK coach Marko Nikolic disputes MEGA TV social media promotion

AEK coach Marko Nikolic and the television station MEGA have engaged in a public dispute following a social media promotional error regarding a match against Shakhtar Donetsk. During a post-match interview, Nikolic questioned the station's choice to feature a Shakhtar player in a match teaser on social media.

In response, MEGA presenter Panagiotis Perperidis defended the broadcaster, stating that the station had released two separate posts: one featuring a Shakhtar player and another featuring AEK striker Luka Jovic. Perperidis criticized Nikolic for reacting to social media comments without verification, remarking that ‘fanaticism and foolishness lead nowhere’ and suggesting the coach was making a mountain out of a molehill.
