AEK gears up for Conference League with Netherlands training camp

Cypriot club AEK Larnaca started its pre‑season under new coach Maouro Kamoranezi with a two‑week training camp in the Netherlands. The squad will train at the Mierlo sports centre and play friendlies against teams such as PAOK, Ajax and Elmont Sport as preparation for the Conference League qualifying rounds, including a focus on facing Israel’s Beitar Jerusalem.

The club has added eight new players, among them 33‑year‑old Dutch centre‑back Mike van de Horst on a two‑year deal, while Cypriot internationals Hampos Kyriacos and Georgios Naoum have missed early sessions. The aim is to secure a place in the Conference League’s League Phase, with the camp intended to embed Kamoranezi’s tactics and build squad depth ahead of the upcoming qualifiers.
