AEK Larnaca defeats Helmond 2-1 in Dutch friendly

AEK Larnaca travelled to the Netherlands for a pre‑season friendly against Helmond and secured a 2‑1 victory. Forward Riad Bayts scored both goals within five minutes, signalling his intent to retain a regular starting role.

Coach Maura Kamoranezi used the match to test squad combinations and noted the team's positive attitude, intensity and tactical execution. He said the result offers encouraging signs ahead of tougher friendlies scheduled against PAOK on July 7 and Ajax on July 10.
