AEL fans rally as owners offer club shares for free to save team

Supporters of the Greek football club AEL gathered in Larissa’s central square, demanding an immediate solution to the team’s ownership crisis and urging the Daveli family to assume responsibility for the club’s future. The rally was organized amid rumors that the club’s major shareholder, Achilleas Davelis, is in advanced talks to sell the team to the Kasidi‑Patsi consortium.

The Daveli family announced they will transfer all shares and assets of PAE AEL to qualified investors free of charge, extending the deadline for proposals to June 28. If no suitable investor is found, the club faces relegation to the third division and possible liquidation. The family stressed that only investors capable of meeting the club’s current and future obligations will be considered.
