AEL FC LTD to file complaint against referee after Anorthosis victory

AEL FC LTD has issued a formal statement following their 2-0 victory against Anorthosis. While the club expressed gratitude to its supporters for their presence during the first official match of the new season, the management expressed strong dissatisfaction regarding the officiating.

The club announced it will file an official complaint against referee Konstantinos Fellah through all competent authorities. AEL has also requested a meeting with the Cyprus Football Association and the President of the Referees Committee to discuss the match's officiating issues institutionally.

In addition to the refereeing concerns, the club is facing significant roster challenges due to serious injuries to players Giannik Gomis and Hamza Čatković, both of whom are expected to be sidelined for an extended period. Management stated they will take immediate action to strengthen the squad to remain competitive throughout the season.
