AEL football club under new owner Zisis Stylianou aims for Super League promotion
Greek football club AEL Novibet has officially passed to new owner Zisis Stylianou after completing the purchase agreement with former proprietor Achilleas Davelis. Stylianou said the acquisition followed a comprehensive financial, tax and legal audit of the club.
He outlined his administration’s priorities: transparency, merit‑based management, strict financial discipline and organisational restructuring. A key sporting goal, he said, is “promotion to the Super League”. The academy system in Larissa and the wider Thessaly region will be reinforced to develop local talent.
Stylianou emphasized that the club must become financially autonomous, reducing reliance on a single major shareholder. He will appoint experts to run the football department, noted that Soteris Kyrgiacos will hold a significant role in the new structure, and indicated ongoing talks with technical directors and coaches. The new owner also issued an open call to local entrepreneurs and regional authorities to support the project.
