AEL secures victories against Zakynthos and Nea Salamis

AEL secured their first victories of the season across two different matches. In the Super League 2, AEL defeated Zakynthos 1-0 at the AEL FC Arena. The decisive moment came in the 8th minute when Andreas Makris converted a penalty. Despite Zakynthos applying significant pressure in the second half—including a shot hitting the post by Katse and a missed penalty by Neira in the 73rd minute—goalkeeper Venetikidis ensured the win.

In a separate fixture, AEL also achieved a dramatic 2-1 victory against Nea Salamis. After a previous heavy loss, AEL found success with a goal from Conceição in the 43rd minute. Although Grancir equalized for Nea Salamis in the 53rd minute, a red card for Angielski in stoppage time allowed Gomes to score the winning goal in the 96th minute.
