Omonia Nicosia and Omonia Aradippou draw 0-0 in league opener

Omonia Nicosia and Omonia Aradippou played to a 0-0 draw in their opening match of the Cyprus League season at the GSP Stadium.

Omonia Nicosia controlled much of the possession and created several scoring opportunities, including a goal by Kakoulis that was subsequently disallowed following a VAR review for offside.

Omonia Aradippou proved resilient defensively and was highly dangerous on the counter-attack. The visiting side hit the woodwork three times, with De Marco, Van Moolen, and Gonzalez all striking the crossbar or post. Goalkeeper Zivkovic made several key saves to maintain the clean sheet for the visitors.
