AEL Novibet signs forward Thanasis Dampizas

AEL Novibet has announced the signing of 22-year-old forward Thanasis Dampizas. The transfer carries significant sentimental value for the club and the player's family, as Dampizas follows in the footsteps of his father, former international defender Nikos Dampizas, who played for AEL during two different periods.

Dampizas developed in the Panathinaikos academies, where he recorded 31 goals in 70 appearances for the U19 team and represented the Greece U19 national team. His professional experience includes appearances for Panathinaikos B in Super League 2 and a recent stint in Italy with Serie C side Cinerola, where he made 15 appearances last season.

The move comes as AEL Novibet undergoes a major squad overhaul following its relegation to Super League 2 and a change in ownership.
