Aembit adds support for Okta Cross App Access for AI agents

Aembit, an identity and access management (IAM) company specializing in AI agents, has announced support for Okta’s Cross App Access (XAA) protocol. This development was launched at the Oktane 2026 conference in Las Vegas.

The XAA protocol allows a user’s existing enterprise identity to authorize access to downstream applications without requiring separate consent steps for every individual connection. By integrating this into Aembit IAM for Agentic AI, the company aims to provide verified agent identity, policy-based access enforcement, and auditability.

As AI agents increasingly perform tasks across various collaboration, project management, and data platforms, the number of access relationships requiring governance grows. Aembit’s support for XAA is intended to reduce the authorization burden on end-users while providing security teams with a centralized way to control which agents can act on behalf of users and under what specific policies.
