Aena posts €1.0 bn profit in H1 2026 as passenger traffic rises 3.9%

Spanish airport operator Aena reported a net profit of €1.002 billion for the first half of 2026, up from €893.8 million a year earlier. EBITDA reached €1.799 billion, representing a 54.5% margin, and total consolidated revenue grew 10.1% to €3.300 billion.

Passenger traffic across Aena’s network of 46 Spanish airports, two UK airports (London‑Luton and Leeds‑Bradford) and 17 Brazilian airports increased 3.9% year‑on‑year to 189.96 million travelers. The rise was aided by a temporary shift of traffic from the Strait of Hormuz crisis and limited rail options, directing more passengers to air travel. Aena cautioned that uncertainty remains for the second half of the year due to fuel‑price volatility and ongoing Middle‑East tensions, which could affect occupancy and capacity planning.
