Aenne-Biermann-Preis exhibition opens in Gera
The Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Gera has opened a special exhibition for the 15th Aenne-Biermann-Preis, an award for contemporary German photography. The exhibition showcases the winning works selected by a jury from a record-breaking 548 applications submitted from across Germany.
This edition of the competition introduced a new “Amateurpreis” subcategory. The featured photographic works address various political and social themes, including the impact of deforestation on indigenous communities in Europe, domestic violence, and the evolution of visual language in the digital age.
