AEON Bank enables Google Pay for customers in Malaysia

AEON Bank has enabled Google Pay for its cardholders in Malaysia, allowing users to add their Visa debit cards to Google Wallet on Android devices for contactless NFC payments. This deployment was achieved through a collaboration with IDEMIA Secure Transactions (IST), marking IST’s first digital card deployment in the country.

The integration expands AEON Bank’s digital ecosystem, which already includes services such as DuitNow QR and JomPAY. To promote the new feature, the bank is running a cashback campaign from 28 August to 30 September, offering up to 3% cashback on eligible purchases.
