Aeon Cinema hosts inclusive screenings for families with disabilities
Aeon Entertainment and Aeon Fantasy held the third installment of ‘Attaka Time in Aeon Cinema,’ a series of special movie screenings designed for children with developmental or intellectual disabilities and their families.
The events, held at Aeon Cinema Makuhari Shin-Tokyo, Aeon Cinema Dainichi, and Aeon Cinema Fukuoka, featured a screening of Disney & Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 5.’ A total of 213 participants attended the sessions.
To accommodate sensory sensitivities and anxiety regarding dark environments, the theaters implemented specific adjustments, including brighter lighting and lower volume levels. The organizers also created an inclusive atmosphere where attendees could speak, stand, or leave their seats without concern for other patrons. The initiative aims to promote an inclusive society where enjoyment can be shared regardless of disability.
