AEON Ekiden marks fifth year of cultural and sporting events in Vietnam

AEON Vietnam is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the AEON Ekiden in 2026, a relay race and cultural festival designed to promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen Vietnam-Japan relations. The event series spans three regions of Vietnam, with legs held in Haiphong in June, Hue in July, and a finale in Tay Ninh in September.

The competition is divided into two categories: Category A for families, requiring at least one member aged 5 to 12, and Category B for teams with members aged 13 and older. In addition to the race, the event features a Vietnam-Japan Cultural Festival with traditional games and an AEON Cosplay Festival.

Takeuchi Takashi, CFO of AEON Vietnam, stated that the initiative aims to promote healthy living and celebrate the friendship between the two nations. Since its inception, the AEON Ekiden and associated cosplay festivals have attracted nearly 22,000 participants.
