Aeon expands retail presence with new Tokyo store and frozen food partnership

Aeon has expanded its Food Style brand with the opening of the Higashi-ojima store in Koto Ward, Tokyo. The new location, which occupies approximately 1,878 square meters, aims to attract families and dual-income households by strengthening its in-store bakery and deli sections. The store features popular side dishes from four U.S.M.H. Group companies, including Inageya, Kasumi, Maruetsu, and Food Style, as well as a collaboration with salad specialist Crisp Salad Works.

In a separate retail development, Aeon Retail and Origin Toshu are launching a frozen version of Origin’s popular Katsudon bowl. Following the success of their previous frozen bento series, which has sold approximately 300,000 units, the new Katsudon will be available starting September 2 at 17 @FROZEN specialty stores before rolling out to Aeon and Aeon Style locations across several Japanese regions.
