Aeon opens senior‑care day centre in Hamamatsu and capsule‑toy venue in Akita

Aeon Retail launched its first senior‑care day service in Shizuoka Prefecture on 1 July, establishing the “Aeon Smile Hamamatsu Aoi” centre on the first floor of Aeon Town Hamamatsu Aoi. The facility, the 26th Aeon Smile location nationwide, offers "shopping rehab" programmes, health events and multidisciplinary support from physiotherapists, occupational therapists and nurses, along with the sale of welfare‑goods such as assistive shoes and hearing aids.

Separately, the capsule‑toy operator Capsule Ya announced the opening of a new store inside Aeon Mall Akita on 4 July 2026. The venue, situated on the mall’s second floor, will feature one of the largest numbers of capsule‑toy machines in Akita Prefecture, providing a broad range of collectibles and scheduled opening‑day events for families and hobbyists.
