Aequs secures long-term Safran supply deals for aircraft components
Aequs Limited has signed new long-term supply agreements with the French aerospace group Safran to manufacture critical components for Airbus and Boeing aircraft. These contracts expand Aequs’ existing relationship with Safran Landing Systems to include collaborations with Safran Electronics & Defense and Safran Aerosystems.
The scope of work includes the machining of superalloy parts, complex coating processes, and the assembly of landing gear components. These parts are intended for use in the Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787 program.
A significant portion of the manufacturing will take place at the upcoming Aequs Engine Components Ecosystem (AECE) facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, alongside existing facilities in Belagavi, Karnataka. This follows a July 2026 agreement where Safran Landing Systems contracted Aequs to produce fully assembled wheels for the Airbus A320 series through 2042, a deal utilizing locally sourced Indian aluminium.
