Aeris Energy seeks mediation to renegotiate R$ 1.8 billion debt
Aeris Energy, a manufacturer of wind turbine blades, has initiated a mediation process with its primary financial creditors to renegotiate its debt structure. The company has filed for a precautionary injunction in São Paulo, seeking a 60-day suspension of debt collections and enforcement actions to facilitate consensual negotiations.
The company faces approximately R$ 1.8 billion in financial debt, which includes R$ 1.2 billion in debentures and nearly R$ 600 million owed to banks such as BNDES, BNB, Banco do Brasil, Santander, and BV. Total net debt, including suppliers, stood at R$ 1.94 billion at the end of the semester.
This move follows a previous debt restructuring conducted last year. Despite efforts to reprofile 90% of its debt previously, Aeris is returning to negotiations due to high capital costs and a lack of operational improvement. In the first half of the year, the company reported a 48% drop in operational revenue compared to the previous year, with a net loss of R$ 290 million.
