Aero Vodochody ownership shifts as Hungarian investors restructure

The ownership structure of the Czech aircraft manufacturer Aero Vodochody, known for producing the L-39 Skyfox, has undergone a significant reorganization among its Hungarian investors.

Oszkár Világi has increased his stake in the asset management company Magyar Aerojet Befektetési Vagyonkezelő Zrt., which holds a 61 percent majority interest in Aero Vodochody. By acquiring the shares previously held by Árpád Habony and György Bacsa, Világi has increased his share in the management entity to 77.4 percent.

Following this transaction, Világi’s individual stake in the strategic Czech aviation company is estimated to be approximately 48 percent. Zsolt Hernádi, CEO of Mol, maintains an indirect interest of 22.6 percent through the Continuum Vagyonkezelő Alapvány. Meanwhile, the Czech defense group Omnipol, led by Richard Háva, remains a minority shareholder and has previously expressed readiness to acquire the manufacturer to consolidate Czech aviation production.
