Aero Vodochody reports record profits and new Skyfox contracts

Aero Vodochody reported a record-breaking year, with revenue increasing by 8% year-on-year to nearly 6.5 billion CZK. Pre-tax profit rose significantly from 102 million CZK to 512 million CZK, a major turnaround from a loss of over half a billion CZK three years ago.

The company continues the production of the Skyfox aircraft at a rate of approximately twelve units per year. Production is currently fully covered by specific orders, with capacity confirmed through the second quarter of 2027. New contracts for the L-39 Skyfox have been signed for Angola—marking the aircraft's first customer in Africa—and North America.

In addition to aircraft sales, the company's Aerostructures programs for Airbus and Embraer are growing. Management noted that the war in Ukraine has accelerated innovation, requiring aircraft platforms to be designed for faster integration of new sensors, software, and weaponry.
