Aeromexico launches direct Mexico City to Milan flights
Aeromexico has officially opened ticket sales for a new direct flight route connecting Mexico City and Milan Malpensa. Scheduled to begin on March 28, 2027, the service will operate four times per week.
Flights from Mexico City to Milan will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, while the return leg from Milan to Mexico City will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The airline will utilize Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft for the route, including both the 787-8 and 787-9 models, which offer business and economy class configurations.
This expansion marks the airline's second Italian destination, following its existing service to Rome Fiumicino. Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Aeromexico, stated that the route aims to strengthen cultural, commercial, and business ties between Mexico and Italy. The move follows a 13.7% increase in Italian tourists visiting Mexico over the last year. The initiative was supported by efforts from the Lombardy Region and Sea Airports to enhance international relations.
