Aeroméxico to launch direct Milan Malpensa to Mexico City flights

Aeroméxico has announced plans to launch a new direct flight route between Milan Malpensa and Mexico City, scheduled to begin in March 2027. This expansion will make the airline the only Mexican carrier to connect its capital directly to two major Italian hubs, as it already operates a service between Rome Fiumicino and Mexico City.

The new intercontinental route is intended to serve both leisure and business travelers, capitalizing on growing tourism between the two nations. Italy currently ranks 13th among countries of origin for tourists traveling to Mexico, with over 118,000 visitors recorded in the last year.

The flights will be operated using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. While the timeline is set for spring 2027, the operation remains subject to necessary government approvals. Once authorized, the airline will confirm specific flight frequencies and schedules.
