Aeronautica Militare Balloon Cup held in Piacenza

The third edition of the Aeronautica Militare Balloon Cup is taking place from October 16 to 18 at the San Damiano Military Airport in Piacenza, Italy. Organized by the Ministry of Defense, Difesa Servizi, and the Italian Air Force, the event aims to combine the appeal of flight with the history and values of the military aviation branch.

The three-day program features hot air balloons, gas aerostats, and historical aircraft from the Legend Formation. A major highlight includes aerial performances by the Frecce Tricolori, the Italian Air Force's national aerobatic team. The event is part of the Valore Paese Italia project, which focuses on promoting sustainable tourism across the country.
