Aeronautical workers from Flybondi and GPS launch joint labor protest

Aeronautical workers from GPS Aerolíneas Argentinas and the low-cost carrier Flybondi have unified their labor protests in Argentina, requesting intervention from the Secretariat of Labor due to unpaid wages and mass layoffs.

Employees from GPS report concerns regarding job insecurity and potential risks to aviation safety due to reduced cargo hold controls. Meanwhile, former Flybondi staff are demanding the payment of overdue salaries, severance pay, and the fulfillment of voluntary retirement agreements. Representatives claim that the crisis affects approximately one thousand families, with many workers reporting a total lack of communication from the company for several months.

Protesters have also raised concerns regarding the company’s operational history, alleging that Flybondi continued to sell tickets despite failing to fulfill scheduled flights. The labor groups are seeking immediate solutions to address the financial instability facing both current and former employees.
