AeroNext and J‑Fronteir launch medical drone delivery partnership in Japan
AeroNext and J‑Fronteir signed a partnership agreement on 27 July to develop a combined telemedicine and drone logistics service in Japan. The collaboration will integrate AeroNext’s nationwide “SkyHub” smart‑logistics network with J‑Fronteir’s online consultation and prescription‑guidance platform “SOKUYAKU”. The joint “Medical Drone Depot” model aims to provide a one‑stop regional medical hub that links online diagnosis, prescription and drone delivery of medicines, shortening patient wait times and reducing travel burdens.
Beyond routine deliveries, the partners intend to use the SkyHub network to create a resilient medical‑logistics system that can operate during disasters or road disruptions, especially in mountainous regions and islands where access to pharmacies is limited. Future expansions may include transport of test samples, medical equipment and support for home‑care services.
