Aeroparque faces labor protests and Flybondi scrutiny

Labor unrest and operational issues are impacting Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Argentina. Employees from the outsourcing firm GPS, which provides services for Aerolíneas Argentinas, staged protests on Friday morning. The workers are demanding the reinstatement of union delegate Luciano Corradi, alleging his dismissal was an illegal anti-union retaliation.

Simultaneously, the low-cost carrier Flybondi is facing intense scrutiny. Reports indicate the airline has reached record levels of flight cancellations and low passenger preference. While the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) has issued warnings, critics argue the regulatory response has been insufficient. Some provinces, including Buenos Aires, Neuquén, and Río Negro, have imposed economic sanctions on the airline following passenger complaints. There are also allegations regarding potential financial irregularities and unreturned refunds for unoperated flights.
