Aerospace Taiwan completes delivery of final Brave Eagle trainer aircraft

Aerospace Taiwan has completed the delivery of the final two T-BE5A Brave Eagle advanced trainer aircraft, marking the conclusion of a 66-aircraft mass production program. The final two units, tail numbers 1165 and 1166, were flown to the Air Force training base in Gangshan, Kaohsiung, on September 24.

The Brave Eagle program was initiated in 2017 to replace the Air Force's aging AT-3 Zihao trainer fleet. Following the first prototype's release in 2019, mass production began in 2020. This milestone represents a significant achievement for Taiwan's indigenous aircraft manufacturing capabilities and the domestic aerospace supply chain.

With the production phase concluded, Aerospace Taiwan will transition its focus to logistics, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, as well as spare parts supply. The company estimates that the scale of these subsequent service contracts will exceed NT$30 billion, ensuring continued momentum for the domestic military aviation industry.
