AeroVironment and Elsight partner to enhance uncrewed system connectivity

AeroVironment and Elsight have announced a partnership to integrate Elsight’s Halo connectivity technology into the Mayhem 10 launched effects system. This collaboration aims to enhance communication resilience for loitering munitions in contested environments by allowing the system to intelligently manage multiple networks, including satellite, radio, and cellular links, through a single layer.

Additionally, Elsight has introduced a new positioning capability for uncrewed aircraft, ground, and maritime platforms. This technology utilizes a patented cellular-based technique to provide absolute geolocation in areas where GPS signals are jammed, spoofed, or unavailable. The system features a multi-source fusion engine that compares GPS data with cellular network measurements to detect spoofing attempts and alert operators when discrepancies occur. This capability is integrated into the Halo mission-enablement platform, allowing for operation without GPS, internet, or visual references.
