AeroVironment and High Tide report record quarterly financial results

AeroVironment reported record revenue of $480.5 million for its first fiscal quarter of 2027, ending August 1, 2026. The company beat analyst consensus estimates with an adjusted earnings per share of $0.59. Driven by $0.7 billion in new bookings, the company's total backlog has reached a record $1.5 billion. Management confirmed its full-year 2027 guidance, projecting annual revenue between $2.125 billion and $2.225 billion.

Additionally, AeroVironment secured its first international sale for the LOCUST laser defense system, valued at over $50 million. This follows the system's selection by the US Army for the E-HEL program. The company plans to continue investing in production capacity to meet rising global demand for drone defense technologies.

High Tide Inc. also reported record financial results for its third fiscal quarter of 2026, ending July 31, 2026. The company achieved record quarterly revenue of $199 million and a record gross profit of $52.7 million. Other record metrics included adjusted EBITDA of $16.2 million and net income of $12.7 million. Through its Canna Cabana brand, High Tide increased its share of the cannabis retail market to 14% in its active provinces, excluding British Columbia.
