AeroVironment reports record revenue and earnings beat
AeroVironment reported strong fiscal Q1 2027 results, featuring a record revenue of approximately $480.5 million and an earnings per share (EPS) of $0.59, which significantly exceeded analyst estimates of $0.22 to $0.30.
The company’s funded backlog grew 37% year-over-year to a record $1.5 billion. AeroVironment also secured its first international purchase order for its LOCUST directed-energy counter-drone system, valued at over $50 million.
Despite the positive earnings and revenue growth, the stock has faced technical challenges. Following a heavy-volume selloff on September 9, the stock entered a bearish trend, trading below its major moving averages including the EMA20, EMA50, and EMA200.
