AESabesp/Fenasan to host debate on Non-Destructive Methods

ABNT standards non-destructive methods technical training sanitation infrastructure lightning protection systems

Experts will discuss the future of Non-Destructive Methods (MND/HDD) during the 37th AESabesp/Fenasan Technical Meeting in São Paulo. The event, organized by the Association of Sabesp Engineers, is scheduled for October 20 to 22, 2026.

A roundtable discussion on October 20 will focus on the panorama, challenges, and perspectives of non-destructive techniques in infrastructure projects. Key topics include aligning projects with the recently published ABNT NBR 17.004 standard and ongoing discussions regarding future professional qualification standards for the sector.

The panel features specialists including Melissa Vieira Bertollo from Comgás, Helio Rosas from Abratt, Melina Rabelo from Petrobras, and Allan Arnesen from Sabesp. The discussion aims to address operational challenges, process optimization, and risk mitigation in complex urban underground environments.
