AESAN issues food alerts for Arla protein pudding and Arkan tahini

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has issued two separate food alerts regarding potential health risks in products distributed in Spain.

Arla has recalled its ‘Vanilla cookie flavour’ Arla Protein pudding (200g refrigerated pots) due to the possible presence of glass fragments. The alert originated from Danish health authorities via the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF). Affected retailers include Alcampo, Dinosol, Sorli, Sabeco, Conway, Hiperber, Amazon, and E. Leclerc in Madrid and Andorra. Notably, the retailer Consum has clarified that it does not sell the affected product.

Additionally, an alert has been issued for Arkan ‘Pure Sesame Tahini’ (400g plastic jars) due to potential Salmonella contamination. The product, originating from Egypt, was flagged by Maltese health authorities. The alert specifically concerns batch number 0257502493 with an expiration date of December 2027. Consumers are advised not to consume the product even if the packaging remains sealed.
