Aesthetic surgery trends shift toward natural, subtle results
There is a growing trend in aesthetic and plastic surgery toward a “nobody should notice” approach, which prioritizes natural results over dramatic or obvious changes. According to Op. Dr. Fırat Özer from Memorial Ataşehir Hospital, the industry has shifted from seeking highly noticeable transformations to focusing on maintaining a person's unique anatomical features and facial expressions.
Globally, the most frequently performed procedures include eyelid aesthetics, liposuction, breast augmentation, scar revision, and rhinoplasty. Preferences vary by gender: among women, liposuction is the most common, followed by eyelid aesthetics and breast augmentation. For men, eyelid aesthetics is the top choice, followed by gynecomastia and scar revision.
Modern aesthetic standards emphasize proportion and harmony with the body. For example, while large breast implants were once popular, current trends favor more moderate sizes that align with the individual's body structure to avoid an artificial appearance.
