Aetolian College honors patron Saint Cosmas of Aetolia

The Aetolian College of Hellenic Language & Culture, part of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, held a memorial service on August 24 to honor its patron, Saint Cosmas of Aetolia. The ceremony took place at the Axion Esti Holy Cathedral in Northcote.

The service was led by Bishop Efmenios of Chora, assisted by Father Filippos Papagianopoulos, Father Georgios Fragkos, and Deacon Panagiotis Andreou. Attendees included the College's Board President, Antonis Tsourdakakis, board members, and branch directors Stella Pisera, Loukia Andreou, and Sofia Groumpous.

Primary school students participated in the event by holding the kollyva featuring the image of the Saint. The college aims to preserve Greek language, history, and cultural heritage through its educational programs, drawing inspiration from Saint Cosmas's legacy of spreading education and the Orthodox faith.
