AEW World Champion Will Ospreay is set to defend his title against Jon Moxley at the upcoming All Out event. Ospreay recently revealed that he requested the match, stating he has a calculated game plan to defeat the Death Riders leader. This follows a period of creative shifts where AEW reportedly considered an immediate rematch between Ospreay and Kenny Omega at All Out before deciding on Moxley as the challenger.

Reflecting on his title win at All In in London, Ospreay noted that his match with Omega required a 'Plan B' after planned spots were used earlier in the night. He also discussed the significance of kicking out of Omega’s 'One Winged Angel' finisher, calling it one of his greatest professional accomplishments. Ospreay suggested that due to the nature of their rivalry and Omega's age, they may never face each other in the ring again.

Additionally, Ospreay has been linked to the formation of a new faction in AEW, with Francesco Akira identified by Callum Newman as a potential member of a United Empire iteration in America. Upcoming Dynamite programming will feature a trios match involving Ospreay, Akira, and Andrade El Idolo against Moxley, PAC, and Gabe Kidd.
