AEW announces Clockwork Carnage match for WrestleDream

During the October 3 episode of AEW Collision, several major developments were announced for upcoming events. AEW World Champion Will Ospreay will defend his title in a unique ‘Clockwork Carnage’ match at WrestleDream on October 17 in Orlando, Florida. The match format, created by Ospreay, involves eight participants in two stages: an initial elimination phase where wrestlers enter every three minutes, followed by a 15-minute scoring period where pinfalls and submissions earn points.

On the Collision card, Kofi secured his first AEW singles victory by defeating ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty. In the main event, Jon Moxley defeated Jake Doyle in a Continental Championship Eliminator match. Other notable results included wins for The Conglomeration, The Death Riders, Myron Reed, Queen Aminata, and Mark Davis.

The episode also featured tributes to the late PAC, with contributions from Paul Wight, Nigel McGuinness, and The Young Bucks. Looking ahead to Grand Slam France on October 6, Darby Allin challenged Kyle Fletcher, and Queen Aminata challenged Mercedes Moné for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Additionally, Mercedes Moné engaged in a backstage altercation with Thekla.
