AEW Collision kicks off Continental Cup tournament in Colorado Springs

AEW Collision held on August 8, 2026, in Colorado Springs, featured the opening round of the inaugural Continental Cup tournament. Claudio Castagnoli secured the first victory of the tournament by defeating Ace Austin with a pop-up uppercut. Orange Cassidy also advanced to the round of eight after defeating Matt Sydal.

In the main event, Eddie Kingston made his return to AEW television after a six-month hiatus, defeating Jake Doyle via submission with a modified Dragon Sleeper to advance in the tournament.
