AEW Owen Hart Foundation Cup Swerve Strickland Will Ospreay Saree medical withdrawal

Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay will meet in the men's final of AEW's 2026 Owen Hart Foundation Cup, scheduled for the June 28 Forbidden Door event. The tournament, which began in 2022, has produced winners such as Adam Cole, Britt Baker, and Mariah May, and this edition continues the annual tradition.

On the women’s side, competitor Saree was pulled from the tournament after AEW medical staff denied her clearance due to a neck injury. The decision was announced by AEW President Tony Khan, and Japanese wrestler Maya World was named as her replacement to face Skye Blue in the quarterfinals on the June 10 Dynamite broadcast from Cincinnati.

The changes come as AEW’s Summer Blockbuster Dynamite also features Jon Moxley defending the Continental Championship, PAC versus Mark Briscoe, and other marquee matches.
