After the third match, president Taro Okada was addressing the crowd when Thekla rushed the ring, attempted to cut his hair with clippers and spat on the Stardom logo. The altercation was halted by Starlight Kid, who intervened and later held up the AEW Women’s World Title, declaring she would win it at the upcoming Forbidden Door PPV.

The incident sets up a showdown at Forbidden Door on 28 June 2026, a joint AEW‑NJPW event at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, where Thekla will defend her championship against Starlight Kid. Thekla, who was storyline‑fired from Stardom in April 2025, has been building the rivalry since her AEW debut in May 2025. She remarked in the promo, “Hey, perverts! I’m back… I would find you and make your life a living hell,” underscoring the personal nature of the feud.
