AEW wrestlers discuss professional environment and compensation

During an appearance on the ‘What Happened When’ podcast with Tony Schiavone, AEW wrestlers David Finlay and Clark Connors discussed their experiences with the promotion. Connors praised the AEW roster and production staff for their professionalism and ability to adapt to last-minute changes, noting that the team can execute high-quality shows with minimal preparation.

Finlay and Connors, members of the wrestling group ‘The Dogs’, also addressed the financial aspects of their employment. Finlay stated that the compensation at AEW is significantly better than what he received at New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW).

Additionally, Connors revealed that the group originally intended to use the name ‘Raw Dogs,’ but the idea was rejected due to potential associations with WWE’s ‘Monday Night Raw’ programming. The group ultimately settled on their current name, ‘The Dogs’.
