AEW wrestlers potentially heading to NJPW and championship outlooks

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) talent is increasingly appearing in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), with several stars expected to make their first appearances in Japan. Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) has signaled a potential confrontation with Ryohei Oiwa following a video message sent to the G1 Climax 36 winner. Other potential debuts include Tommaso Ciampa, who has expressed interest in competing in NJPW, and the tag team The New Level, consisting of Kofi and Austin Creed.

In AEW, Men's World Champion Will Ospreay currently lacks a scheduled title defense for the upcoming Full Gear 2026 pay-per-view. Potential challengers include Adam Copeland, who recently announced that 2027 will be his final year as an in-ring competitor. Copeland's pursuit of the championship follows a recent match at WrestleDream where he narrowly lost to Ospreay.
