AEX index hits record high amid strong tech earnings

The AEX index reached new all-time highs, hitting approximately 1,124 points. Market momentum was driven by strong performance in the technology and data sectors, alongside positive quarterly results from several key companies.

Adyen saw its shares rise by nearly 12 percent following the release of quarterly figures that showed payment volumes grew by more than 20 percent and led to an increased revenue outlook. Similarly, Fastned experienced a significant jump of nearly 10 percent after reporting strong first-half results for 2026. Fastned reported a 40 percent increase in charging revenue to over 75 million euros and a 61 percent surge in gross profit to 66 million euros, which helped reduce its net loss.

Other notable performers included data companies RELX and Wolters Kluwer, which rose 4.6 percent and 6.1 percent respectively, potentially influenced by sector rumors. Despite rising long-term bond yields in the United States, investor focus remains centered on the artificial intelligence bull market and semiconductor sector recovery.
