Adriatic Film & TV Academy announces 2026 AFA Award nominations

The Film and TV Academy of the Adriatic Region has announced the nominations for the 2026 Adriatic Film & TV Awards (AFA). The nominations were determined via electronic voting by more than 800 industry professionals from across the region.

The awards recognize significant film and television productions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Serbia. Ten categories are featured, including seven film categories—such as Best Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay—and three television categories.

For the first time, a new award will be presented for exceptional success in theatrical distribution, honoring the film with the highest box office revenue. The second edition of the AFA awards is scheduled to take place from October 23 to 25 in Porto Montenegro, Tivat. The program includes a ceremony on October 24, with opening events hosted at the Kotor-Lovćen Cable Car.
