Argentina Federal Police investigate stolen medicine ring

The Argentine Federal Police (PFA) conducted eight raids in the cities of Rosario and Acebal as part of an investigation into the theft, stockpiling, and illegal sale of medications stolen from various health centers.

The investigation follows operations in June that uncovered the diversion of medical supplies, including 243 fentanyl ampoules. Authorities have identified seven individuals, including five women and two men, who are allegedly linked to the suspects previously detained in June. Most of the suspects reportedly work within the health centers involved in the thefts.

Investigators are working to determine the full distribution circuit of the stolen drugs. The operation was driven by the Venado Tuerto Decentralized Prosecutor's Office with assistance from the Rosario Fiscal Unit.
