AFAD accredits 636 teams and certifies 21,000 personnel in Turkey
AFAD President Ali Hamza Pehlivan announced that the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority has accredited 636 teams across Turkey. These teams underwent training and examinations across eight different categories, including urban search and rescue, nutrition, housing, and water rescue.
To date, 21,000 personnel have received certification through these programs. The accreditation process involves volunteers from public institutions, non-governmental organizations, local governments, universities, and the private sector. Currently, training is ongoing for an additional 258 teams and approximately 7,500 personnel to further strengthen the nation's integrated disaster management and response capabilities.
