AFALE to hold third Alzheimer's awareness march in Lepe

The Association of Relatives of People with Alzheimer's and Other Dementias (AFALE) has announced the third edition of its Solidarity March in Lepe, Spain. Scheduled for September 19 to coincide with World Alzheimer's Day, the event aims to raise awareness for the disease and collect funds to support the association's work.

The march will begin at 11:00 AM from the AFALE center on Matalascañas Street and conclude at the Plaza de España, where a closing ceremony and gift raffle will be held. Following last year's participation of over 1,000 people, organizers hope to exceed that number this year.

Local officials, including Deputy Mayor for Social Services Carolina Reyes, have expressed support for the initiative, emphasizing its importance for the well-being of patients and their families. Participants can purchase bibs and shirts for 6 euros at the AFALE center or the Farmacia Centro de Plaza España to contribute to the cause.
